If you eat mentos and drink diet coke at the same time will your stomach explode?
Heard about the pop rocks/ pop theory and the mentos and diet coke and was wondering since mentos + diet coke in bottle = explosion if the same would happen in your stomach.
Chosen Answer:
No. That’s rubbish.
You’ll get fresh breath and a quenched thirst is all.

No. You’ll belch a lot, though.

DUH! IT HAPPENED TO ME AND I DIED!
nope
that would be cool..Unfortunately though, i dont know.
No. Why do people still think this? It is just a myth.
No, one will take effect first, and that would be pretty bad. . . i am not sure but please dont try it. (:
i heard that some idiot did this and it ruptured his stomach.. just imagine what happens in a liter bottle on a smaller scale inside your stomach.. they did this on mythbusters and it blew up the pig stomach..
I doubt it. I saw a video clip of this experiment on youtube and they had to stuff in a roll or better of the sweets to get an effect. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to eat that many sweets with that much cola anyway.
Cheers

no this is just a myth if you watch myth busters they tried it and my little boy does it all the time and he is still here he does the same with pop rocks and then he burps a lot kids think its funny
Well, maybe! But, this kid Jack did it and he let out a long and very disgusting burp!
That’s what I read. I received an email that said that we must drink diet coke whilst eating mentos. I’m not sure but if I were you I wouldn’t try it. I think that if this reaction takes place in a bottle it will also take place in human’s stomach
no only thing it probably will do is give you a stomach ache.
No. They tried this on Mythbusters and even if you drink 6 cans of Diet Coke you don’t esploded. Dhoi!!!
No

It won’t do anything but make you burp a lot and maybe give you a stomach ache for a while.
no you will most likely have a huge belch but your stomach wont explode. Pop rocks and coke are another busted myth.
