What kind of eating habits or diet should i use for weight lifting?

Ok well its almost the offseason for bball. And i want to start lifting again to try and gain some size and also look healthy and all that too. How should i start eating and what kind of diet should i maintain?

    Eat plenty of lean protein (tuna, chicken, lean red meats) – supplemented by protein powder if need be. Eat whole grains and good fats (avocado, olive oil, nuts). Drink plenty of water and stay away from sugary foods and drinks.

    You will need to also increase your calorie intake.

    If you want to add muscle mass, you should supplement your diet with whey protein ,amino acid and glutamine supplements. Depending how much mass you want to add, this will effect on your caloric daily intake. Eat more protein such as tuna, chicken breast, egg white, etc. Also, when lifting weights remember heavier weights + less reps = more muscle mass. lighter weights + more reps = leaner muscle mass. Build muscle first then concentrate on getting leaner. You cant do both at the same time.
