When dieting, what is the least devastating alcoholic beverage to your diet?
I have received mixed reviews in my research. Some say a light beer. Others say a single liquor on the rocks, or a diet soda and liquor. I dont care for soda, so… Any answers out there?
To avoid answers insisting that I stay away from alcohol: I am just trying to eat healthier, not trying to go nazi. I am one to usually divulge in Guiness, Martinis and tons of heavy beer FYI… So im just looking for lower CAL options.
Chosen Answer:
Ok. You can have vodka tonic. My favorite (people say I am weird) I put vodka in plain water and put propel in it. It is the propel packets you can buy at the store. Another drink would be a “skinny girl magarita” it is patron on the rocks, with a splash of triple sec and a lime.

STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING WITH A LOT OF SUGAR FOR SURE. A VODKA TONIC IS THE ABSOLUTE LEAST FATTENING OF ALL ALCOHOLIC DRINKS THAT I AM AWARE OF.
Alcohol is empty calories, so drinking ANYTHING while dieting makes no sense, and defeats the purpose.

I enjoy beer and wine too much to worry about calories. Sure, I could have a Bud Light for around 100 calories, but it tastes extremely diluted. As it is, I think Budweiser tastes diluted. I also enjoy the good, dark, heavy beers. (Guinness and Warsteiner are my favorite brands. I also like stouts, oats, and porters and good sweet red wines.) I don’t have beer or wine every day, and when I do, it’s usually one at a time, so why not enjoy?
